You count on Cosmetic Connection to bring you the latest and greatest in cosmetic finds every week, so how does a sneak peek at Stila's new Spring colors sound? Check out the five new shadows, three new lipsticks, three new glosses, two new all over shimmers, and a new polish named after Princess Diana, all arriving at a Stila counter near you very soon. The new colors are a mix of perky pastels and vivid purples and fuchsias that will definitely put a little spring into your makeup bag. My personal picks are "cha cha" and "mambo" shadows, "2" lipstick, and "melon" gloss. Our vitamin cream series continues this week with Lancome's new Vitabolic Deep Radiance Booster ($45) with vitamin C, ginseng, and ginkgo. Unlike most vitamin C products that are serums, Lancome has stabilized vitamin C in a gel-creme form that is lightly moisturizing. Like other vitamin C product, Vitabolic helps repair and prevent damage to the skin by the sun and pollutants in the environment, like smoke. Its real difference is ginseng (stimulates, increases skin's resistance to stress) and ginkgo (improves skin tone), which give the skin an instant rosey boost. I've been using it under my makeup every morning, and it really makes me look more refreshed and awake. One drawback: If you flush easily or have rosacea, this rosey effect might not be for you, so test it on your skin at the Lancome counter before you buy. I knew it would happen eventually, I just wasn't sure when... Clinique finally came out with a product that I like! Seriously though, Clinique is not one of my favorite lines because many of their skin care products, especially the 3 step system, are just too harsh for most skins. I finally feel comfortable recommending a Clinique product, their new Weather Everything Environmental Cream SPF15 ($37.50 for 1.7 ounce jar). For dry, sensitive, or weather-worn skin, Weather Everything is great as an everyday cream, or for any skin type as protection from the elements. Visit your Clinique counter for samples and more information. If you have clogged pores or blackheads (and who doesn't?), you've probably heard of, or even tried, the infamous Biore Pore Perfect nose strips. These little wonders literally pull blackheads right from the pore to give you clearer skin instantly. Now you can get that same deep clean anywhere on your face with Biore's new Pore Perfect face strips! You get six rectangular strips that you can cut to a custom length for around $5 a box. Check your local drugstore or supermarket for these great new Biore strips. Tired of ragged cuticles, brittle nails, and parched hands?
