If you like trying new products as much as I do, I highly recommend a visit to your local Clarins counter for samples galore. By now, I'm sure you've figured out that I like samples! For drugstore lines that don't have samples, the next best thing is travel or trial size. I don't travel much, but I've got samples or trial sizes of more products than my bathroom can hold! This week I added to the pile with a trial size of L'Oreal's Luminair creme-to-powder makeup.

For normal, combination, or slightly oily skin, Luminair is a nice alternative to liquid foundation. It goes on smoothly and has a nice range of colors. If you are dry at all, or have any flaky skin, however, this foundation will unfortunately accentuate it. I'll be sticking to my liquid foundation this winter.
