report by Judith of the Cosmetic Connection Product Panel Bobbi Brown's Cosmetic Line pioneered a new wave of upscale neutral basics which worked easily. The color choices were safe, classic and elegant. The latest addition to the Bobbi Brown line introduces color and lots of it, with a new range called "ColorOptions," which bring a "pop" of color in the form multi-use products, which are becoming so popular. I had fun trying these products out. Artstick ($25) is a fat 3-in-1 pencil which can be used on lips, cheeks and eyes. I wasn't expecting much when I tried this product, as I haven't particularly liked the other all-purpose pencils that have flooded the market this season. This one I liked! I opted for pumpkin, a brown-tinged peach; clay, a flesh tinted beige and bright pink, which is a hot, bright pink. The texture of these pencils is extremely creamy, making it great for either lips or cheeks. I don't usually wear pink eye-shadow, but I tried the clay on my eyes and it worked great! Sparkledust is billed as an all-purpose sparkle powder that can be used on eyes, cheeks and lips. Personally, I don't like glitter on my face, so I tried it on my eyes in both amethyst, a lovely light lavender, and lime, a bright, light green. Sparkledust is easily layered, so you can make a definite color statement or just a nice wash of color on the eye. A nice sized container is $20. Liplacquer ($18) is lipgloss-lipstick combo which comes packaged in a lipgloss pot. I don't usually like pot lipgloss, but the texture of this is delightful, the grapefruit flavor pleasant, and it works beautifully over the Artstick, when I use it as a lipstick. I opted for Baby Pink, a pale neutral pink, and Tangerine, both of which work well with a multitude of colors. Lipglimmer was the only product in ColorOptions that I really didn't like. BB makes such lovely lipsticks, that I don't know what she was thinking by adding what feels like glitter to this product. The lipstick actually goes on with a glitter-texture that is rough to the lips. The colors are nice - (I tried Bronze and Port) - but for $17.50 each, I'd suggest going for one of BB's Lip Shimmers or Lip Stains. All in all, ColorOptions is a lot of fun for those of you would like to introduce some color into your neutral makeup wardrobe. Bobbi Brown's quality, as always, is excellent, and her salespeople really know their product! I give it a thumbs up!
