Lorac Spring 2001
report by Heather of the Cosmetic Connection Product Panel

We are finally getting our hands on some of the great new products and colors for spring. Read on!

Sheer Wash ($24)
The latest addition to my collection of Lorac spring goodies is her new Sheer Wash lip and cheek tint. Cream and gel blush seem to be all the rage now, but this one is a little different; Sheer Wash is a liquid tint in a roller-ball bottle, like a roll-on deodorant. You simply roll on a bit of color and blend with your fingers. It looks intense at first but blends easily to a natural looking flush that lasts all day. I am amazed that something so seemingly thin and watery can deliver such a nice color and last so well. I really like this and will continue to use it, alternating with my other blush favorites Tarte Cheek Stain and Vincent Longo Faerie Creme. Sheer Wash is also great for oily or acne prone skin, since it's so weightless. You can choose from Ecstasy (wine), Emotion (raspberry), Magic (bronze) and Rapture (plum brown; the one I'm using), all at Lorac counters near you or at Sephora.com.

Another new spring favorite is Lip Polish ($17.50), a sheer glossy lip paint packaged in what looks like a tiny nail polish bottle. I tried Revel, a sheer red, and liked the shiny finish and light was h of color. Layered over a red lipstick, you'd get some great shine impact. Lip Polish is high on shine but not staying power, so layering is a good idea for optimal wear.

Another new goodie for spring is the Refresh lip gloss quad ($28). The round pot has four of their popular gloss shades - Pink, Luscious, Lovely and Spirit. All are very sheer and look great alone or layered together or with your favorite lipstick. If you carry several lip colors with you at one time (who knows what mood you might be in?), this is a great space saver, and the glosses are foolproof enough to work without a brush or mirror.

You can find Lorac online for purchase at sephora.com.
