I am really impressed with Hyper Real. It offers a healthy, even glow plus foundation coverage. This product, according the MAC representative, has red pearl pigment in it to reflect light and even out skin tone. It is available in 8 colors numbered 100 through 800. She selected 500 for my medium olive skin tone and the color matches beautifully! MAC offers several ways to apply the foundation: fingers, sponge, or brush. I tried all three methods and by far prefer the brush (I purchased the recommended MAC brush).

The foundation goes on smooth and provides medium coverage. I do have an uneven skintone, as well as dark circles under my eyes, so I'd use a concealer under the foundation. Hyper Real dries to a nice non-greasy finish and has not irritated my skin, or caused breakouts. It lasts all day with minimal touch ups (if you have breakouts). MAC does not recommend you use powder to set the foundation, because it will destroy the light effect.

I think the best part of this product is that I have been told several times how great my skin looked when I was wearing it! I will definitely use this one!
