Komenuka Bijin
report by Jennifer of the Cosmetic Connection Product Panel
I have been anxious to try this line and eagerly awaited my samples
which I received from Beautyhabit.com. Komenuka Bijin, translated from
Japanese, means rice bran beautiful person. This line contains 100%
natural ingredients and is free form synthetic fragrances. I must preface
this review by telling you that after using some samples, I did purchase
one product and had one of the best buying experiences on line or off.
Not only was it simple and quick, but I received lots of samples with my
order and a handwritten thank you note.
Facial Cleansing Powder (30 Packs $33)
LOVE at first try!!! Yes I am that enthusiastic about this product. I began using it as a sample and after only 2 tries I knew I had to have a plentiful supply of this stuff. It comes in a tub with individually wrapped packets(great for travel). Each packet is good for 2 uses, not the 3 they advertise. The cleanser comes in powder form. You blend some of the powder in the palm of your hand , mix with water and voila it exfoliates. As each granule disintegrates it creates a foaming action to cleanse. It is extremely
gentle and invigorating at the same time. It left my skin feeling smooth
and clean. This product contains wonderful ingredients such as, rice
bran, chamomile, seaweed and honey! A must try.
Skin Lotion Toner ($38)
This is meant to be used after cleansing to hydrate and tone the skin. I found neither to be the case. There was nothing particularly special about this toner, although I have to say it was not at all drying. For the price I would stick to some less expensive toners.
Moisture Cream ($40)
Moisturizing is by far one of my favorite steps in my sknicare regime. Because I have such dry skin I love the soothing effects of a good moisturizer, and yes this is good! I used it in the evening and it left my skin feeling very fresh and dewy. This will be the next product I order.
UV Cream - SPF 13 ($40)
This tinted moisturizer is very nice, but I prefer an even creamier texture and with the SPF only being 13 I would probably choose another daytime moisturizer especially in my area of the country.
So there you have it - definitely a line to look out for!
