Pore Purifying Mud Masque ($52 for 5oz jar) There are several specialty masques available in the line to address different skin concerns, and the one I used was designed with only botanical ingredients (as is the entire June Jacobs line) to help reduce the appearance of enlarged pores for all skin types. Though I'm fortunate to not have oversized pores, as I've gotten older, I realize I need to incorporate new treatments into my regimen to keep my skin looking fresh and healthy. I had to only apply a small amount of the thick clay masque with my fingertips to cover my entire face and neck and then let it set for fifteen minutes as instructed. The texture was terrific, and I detected a slight refreshing mint aroma as I relaxed and waited for it to dry. Having used many drugstore and high-end masques, I loved the way this one felt on my face because as it tightened and dried, it never felt uncomfortable like others I've used, and I wasn't in a rush to remove it. Upon rinsing my face, I noticed an immediate difference in the texture of my skin, and I had to keep moving closer to the mirror to even see my pores, so I knew I had found a keeper. I usually moisturize after these types of treatment so as to prevent dryness; however, my skin was so soft that it required nothing else. I admit that initially I was a bit apprehensive about trying this new product as I have super sensitive skin, and have allergic reactions to many products. I am happy to have discovered that this masque did not irritate me at all, and the botanicals calmed the slight redness I have from small broken capillaries on my cheeks. The masque also contains age fighting anti-oxidants, which are always a wonderful extra ingredient in all products. This is a marvelous masque that I highly recommend everyone use to maintain great looking skin. At $52 for a 5-ounce jar, it is a bit pricey, but since little is needed per use, it will last, and in my opinion, is worth every cent.
Tea Tree Foot Rescue ($48 for 5oz jar) I am always trying new foot creams and scrubs, and was elated to be trying June Jacobs Spa Tea Tree Foot Rescue. The aromatic tea tree oil provides a cooling antiseptic action when applied, though the scent put me off a bit as I found it a little unpleasant, but then it's just not a scent I've ever cared for much. However, as I massaged this naturally therapeutic (made with botanical extracts like all products in the line) cream into my skin, I immediately fell in love with the product. It is so much more easily absorbed than Vaseline, less sticky and messy, and after only one application, and six hours later, I awoke to the find that my feet were the softest they have ever felt. This is by far the best way to pamper tired feet after a grueling day, and even those with rough skin will notice a difference after using the product one time, and with continued use, I imagine they too will have baby smooth feet. A 5-ounce jar is pricey at $48, but there is so much cream that a jar will last many months, and since we only get one pair in a lifetime, and use them for everything, we can't afford not to take great care of them.
