Lush
report by the Cosmetic Connection Product Panel

Lush is a line made in England that I've wanted to try for a long time after having heard rave upon rave about its products, so I was excited to try one of its top sellers, AfterlifeE.

Afterlife ($39.95 canadian for 45g) is labeled as a "nutritious moisturizer designed to refresh the skin", and is best when applied before bedtime. This cream looks like clay in color and feels a bit like it in consistency, though not as thick, and very little need be applied to the face and neck area on a daily basis.

In all fairness, while the feeling of it on the skin is sensational, and leaves a super silk like feeling, the appearance and aroma were a major problem for me. So I found myself faced with a beauty quandary: should I grin and bear both for the fantastic feeling, use a blindfold and nose plugs, or simply pass on using it? As a woman with sensitive skin who can't use many of the wonderful moisturizers on the market without experiencing allergic attacks, I have opted to continue using it. Oh, the things we do for beauty. The saving grace is that the smell begins to fade after a while, but I'm still having trouble getting past the scent when I apply it. I can't really determine which ingredient I find to be so unpleasant... This product would be perfect if it could be isolated and removed, but perhaps others will love the scent, so it's absolutely worth trying.

You can find Lush products at Lush.co.uk and LushCanada.com.
