Bath & Body Works Clear Face Skin Care Line
report by Alissa of the Cosmetic Connection Product Panel
I really like the Face skin care line from Bath and Body Works, so when I saw their new Clear Face line, I had to give it a try. If you don't have oily/blemished skin or you are on Retin-A or Accutane or other acne medication, I would not recommend this line. However, if you suffer from occasional breakouts, this is the line for you.
In The Clear Facial Cleanser
Looking at the packaging, you would swear that this was Neutrogena's Oil Free Acne Cleanser. Upon use of this product, you will discover that the packaging is the only similarity. B&BW's facial cleanser left my skin soft and clean without the harsh dryness of other blemish cleansers. There is no medicinal smell that often accompanies blemish fighting cleansers. Besides salicylic acid to prevent blemishes, green tea, aloe, and willow bark are also key ingredients in this cleanser. Green tea and aloe help to soothe the skin, while willow bark keeps skin from drying, a definite plus! Also, this product is oil-free and soap-free. I would definitely recommend this product.
On-The-Spot Blemish Cream
I really liked this product, too. After my skin broke out from a foundation I used, this really helped to clear it up. I found it to be extremely gentle to my skin and reduced the blemishes I had. There was no chemical smell, which I hate, especially at night when I am trying to sleep! I also like that this product was quick to eliminate existing blemishes. Within three days, my blemishes were gone. I would recommend this product if you have had bad experiences with other blemish spot removers in the past.
All Nighter Deep Pore Cleanser
I feel like I am having a Neutrogena flashback! This product smelled like Neutrogena's Deep Pore Overnight Treatment and pretty much worked like it also. This was one product from the Clear Face collection that I wasn't as impressed with. It worked okay on my skin, but I had the same results from Neutrogena. Save your money on this product and just buy Neutrogena.
