B. Kamins Chemist
report by Kristen of the Cosmetic Connection Product Panel

I must admit to not trying out skincare lines as much as I do cosmetics. Typically, when I find a cleanser or zit-zapper that works, I don't deviate from it. I received the Bio-Maple Vegetable Skin Cleanser ($32 for 8oz), Booster Blue Rosacea Treatment ($62 for 1.7oz), and the Day Lotion SPF 8 ($62 for 1.7oz). I really love the cleanser. It looks like serum for your hair, but it is not greasy at all. It effectively takes off all of my makeup (though not eye liner), and leaves my face feeling super soft. It's great for all skin types, too. I typically have normal-to-oily skin, though increasingly becoming more normal as I get older, and it didn't strip it or make it feel dry and tight. Nor did it leave my face feeling greasy. It was just perfect. And I noticed that after using it for a few weeks, I didn't have any breakouts, normal or otherwise, and my face looked less red around my nose and chin. Even my hubby commented on it. I figured that was my indication to order a full-sized bottle. It's a pretty large bottle, and you only need one pump, so this one bottle will last a while.

The Booster Blue Rosacea treatment is a blue cream with a light, silky texture. It blends it quickly to your skin and leaves no greasy residue. I did see a slight improvement in my spotted redness after about a week. I would like to say that I have tried other rosacea treatments from other major skincare lines and this one definitely works the best. The others were completely useless.

Lastly, I used the Day Lotion SPF 8. It's a nice, light day lotion that melted right into my skin, but I probably wouldn't buy this again. It worked fine and I had no breakouts, but I am in love with Estee Lauder's Daywear line.

This is my first experience with B. Kamins Chemist line and I am impressed. No breakouts, good results - can't ask for more than that. I am certainly going to try out their other products aimed for my skin type and needs. You can check them out at Sephora.com.
