report by Lisa L. of the Cosmetic Connection Product Panel Let me start by saying that I love Clinique. Their #2 Clarifying Lotion and Double Fudge lipstick are products I have been using since my teen years - I never grow tired of them. However, I really don't like foundation all that much, and only use it when I must, so I wasn't expecting to fall in love with Superfit ($18.50). I must admit, though, I was much more impressed than I thought I would be. Superfit is a medium-coverage, transfer-resistant foundation that has all sorts of vitamin goodies that skin supposedly likes. I asked the woman at the Clinique counter for a sample in "shell" to try for a few days, and as usual she gladly obliged and jokingly made me promise to "buy it from her" if I decided to purchase it (side note: In my experience, Clinique Reps are some of the nicest in the industry!). I found that this foundation went on very, very smoothly and evenly, covered nicely, and had a fairly matte finish, which I personally prefer because my T-zone is out of control in the summer. It stayed on all day and washed off easily with my regular cleanser (Anew Ultraforce). It didn't irritate my skin at all, and made a great canvas for my color cosmetics. In short, it did all the great things a foundation is supposed to do. The only thing I noticed which might be problematic was the color selection - if your skin is very pale or very dark, matching might be difficult. Also, if you have very dry skin, sometimes transfer-resistant foundation isn't the best choice - ask for a sample before you buy and make your decision accordingly!
