June Jacobs Spa Collection
report by Debbie of the Cosmetic Connection Product Panel

I just recently had the opportunity to try a few products from the June Jacobs Spa Collection and to be quite frank, I wasn't impressed with any of the products. I have tried so many skincare products in the last 6 months that I knew instantly I didn't care for these products.

The first one I tried was the Cooling Cucumber Cleanser for normal-dry/sensitive skin (3.5 oz for $36.00). The best thing about this product was you only need a very small amount to get a great lather and it goes a long way. Even though the name says cucumber I personally didn't notice much of a smell and certainly not a cucumber scent. While it did take my makeup off I didn't find this cleanser hydrating all at like it claims to be and for $36.00 there are many other cleansers that do the job for less money.

The next product I applied to my face was the Reviving Day Cream for normal-dry/sensitive skin (1.7 oz for $48.00). Now this product had a light pleasant cucumber smell to it. That was the best part for me. A very average moisturizer that did nothing for my face and certainly didn't live up to its claims of hydrating, glowing, smoothing away fine lines and firming the face. I felt like I could have used extra hydration on my cheeks.

The last product I tried from this line was the Eye Define (.5oz for $64.00). For the price and the amount of product you get here you can find many products out there for a lot less and give you more bang for your buck. I did find this to be greaseless, thick and absorb very quickly like it claims, but not hydrating at all and I found my eyes were very thirsty still after using this product. I personally can't remember an eye cream product with such a lack of hydration/moisture to it. I really didn't find a smell to it and it does contain Shea butter, hyaluronic acid and soothing botanicals, but none of that did a bit of good for my eyes. All in all I was disappointed in all three products and wouldn't recommend them.
