report by Adele of the Cosmetic Connection Product Panel Stressed skin can manifest itself in different ways - your skin may appear tired and drawn, irritated and red, or tight and dehydrated - basically not looking or feeling its best. Hydra Zen (Cream £19.50 ($30.81) for 30ml & £25 ($39.50) for 50ml and Fluid £25 ($39.50) for 50ml) is a new moisturiser with a "de-stressing treatment to soothe and intensely hydrate the skin". It is available in two textures: Gentle Cream for normal to dry skin and Fresh Fluid for normal or combination skin. Just reading some of the ingredients - rose petal, ylang ylang and honey - made me instantly want to try Hydra Zen! For my combination skin I decided the Fresh Fluid was the best one for me to try. When I squeezed a small amount of the fluid out of the bottle it looked like lotion but felt like a serum and then when I applied it to my face, it felt wonderful! My skin looked and felt refreshed and the floral fragrance, although not strong, added to the overall "feel good" factor. The fluid seeped into my skin and at the same time left it feeling softly coated, making a terrific base for applying my foundation. My skin still felt soft and fresh for most of the day at work. Something that should be noted is that Hydra Zen does not contain an SPF, so perhaps for regular use of the product it would be better to use this in conjunction with a foundation or tinted moisturiser that does contain one. If, like me, you find yourself reaching out for those anti-ageing serums now and again you'll be glad to know that Hydra Zen works very well with them in helping to smooth lines and wrinkles. I would definitely recommend giving Hydra Zen a try - you only need a small amount per application so your 30ml or 50ml will go a long way. Lancome counters in department stores are usually very willing to let you have samples, before you buy. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I do.
