Lancome Aromatonic Energising Body Care
report by Adele of the Cosmetic Connection Product Panel
This range comes in a vivid lime colour that immediately attracted my attention and made me think it would be refreshing and I was right - it is!
Aromatonic Body Treatment Fragrance (£25 for 100ml - $39)
The treatment fragrance is designed to energise and stimulate, it certainly has that effect when first applied. With essential oils like sweet lime, ginger and green tea you can imagine the strong aroma. I loved the fragrance however, I knew I had sprayed too much on me one day when I went to work and my colleagues started sneezing in unison. The trick is to apply modestly and, if possible, give it a "settling" period.
Energising Body Oil (£25 for 100ml - $39)
This can be applied directly onto your skin or you can add a few drops in the bath. I tried both ways and preferred using it in the bath, especially as I was using it in conjunction with the other products in the range. The essential oils of sweet lime and green tea give that uplifting aroma and when I came out of my bath my skin felt moisturised and refreshed.
Energising Cooling Body Smoother (£19.50 for 200ml - $31)
This is my favourite product of the whole range and, in my opinion, the best value for money. It is a beautiful body serum enhanced with extracts of lemon peel, apple, and camellia. It is a powder in water consistency created to keep your skin feeling smooth, cool and dry - however I can't say how long your body will keep dry, especially in hot weather. It smells delicious and was easily absorbed into my skin, leaving it feeling smooth and not at all greasy. It can be used on its own or over the body treatment spray.
The other products in the range are Energising Shower Gel and Body Lotion, both infused with ingredients to refresh and tone the skin. I very much enjoyed using this range and it did make me feel refreshed and energised - I'm not sure that I felt toned, however.
