Eye Brightening Stick ($12.50)
The Eye Brightening Stick is designed to make eyes "wake up and come alive". It is a soft pencil that is light blue. Now, believe me, I do not like the heavy handed light blue eyes I have seen this spring, but this color stick is a great product for helping out tired eyes!

The stick is fairly soft and blends easily. The girls at the Origins counter were most helpful and gave me a handout for "How to Use". It can be used several ways: along the upper or lower lids as a liner; along the inside of the eye by the nose, to lighten and bring out the eye; on the outside corner of the eye to lift the eye up; use as a shadow for the entire eye, or just under the eyebrow on the brow bone to highlight.

My favorite ways to use this stick are inside the eye, where it tends to be dark, and on the brow bone as a highlighter. I really felt that my eyes did "pop" out.

The hardest part to using it is not getting too heavy handed with it. The color needs to be very subtle to accomplish the effect you want. When applied correctly, it is very effective, and I liked the results. However, I did not think it stayed on long enough. It seems to fade within a few hours. You need to touch it up at least halfway through the day.

I would definitely give this one a try if you feel your eyes need a pick me up.

Shadow Stick - Powdery Pencil for Eyes ($12.50)
The representative with Origins also suggested that I try either the pink (Puff) or yellow (Sand) shadow stick for highlighting and for concealing. I tried both colors under my eyes as well as a highlighter under my brow bone. My skin is medium olive, so the yellow worked better for me. The yellow shade is not too yellow. It is very soft and works great as a dark circle concealer. It is powdery, but not too much so it doesn't skip or tug at the eye, and it did not cake even when applied over eye cream.

Liquid Lip Color ($11.00)
This is a new product for Origins. It is a super-high shine lip gloss. The color is more intense than I am used to in a lip gloss, which I like! The lip color contains Rice Bran Oil, Aloe and Vitamin E to soothe and smooth. It also has mint that gives a tingling feeling to your lips, which I didn't really like. I did like that the color stayed on for a long time, so I can put up with the tingle and taste of mint.

The lip color comes in 9 shades. I needed a new red, so I tried Hot Date. It is a great red, not too intense, as a crème lipstick. See the colors on their web site at Origins.com.
